Campaign of both the Odisha teams at the 9th Hockey India Sub-Junior Women National Championship (Division-A) ended in the quarterfinals with Hockey Odisha losing to Madhya Pradesh Hockey Academy 0-3 and Hockey Gangpur-Odisha suffering a 1-8 drubbing against Hockey Jahrkhand at Hisar in Haryana today.
Hockey Gangpur-Odisha reached quarterfinals by finishing second in Pool-C with six points. They won two matches and lost the other two. Led by Jyoti Chhatri, Hockey Gangpur-Odisha beat Delhi Hockey 8-2 and Assam Hockey 2-0, but lost to Hockey Bhopal 1-2 and Hockey Himachal 2-6. Hockey Gangpur-Odisha had won bronze medal in the previous edition, which was also held at Hisar.
